Seeing Blue in Ennis
What is it about bluebonnets?
Alone, they're beautiful, but en masse, they're spectacular. If you're near a field of them, take a deep breath, and enjoy the fragrance: subtle but unforgettable. No wonder they're our state flower.

In early spring, you'll see patches along the highways. Not enough blue for you? Head to Ennis for their annual Bluebonnet Trails and Festival.

The trails take you through fields, hills and valleys carpeted in bluebonnets as well as other Texas wildflower beauties.

The kid-friendly festival includes food, music, a petting zoo, a climbing wall, classic cars, and of course, nature programs.
