Seeing Blue in Ennis

What is it about bluebonnets? Alone, they're beautiful, but en masse, they're spectacular. If you're near a field of them, take a deep breath of the fragrance, subtle but unforgettable.

In early spring, you'll see patches along the highways. But if that's not enough blue for you, head to Ennis for their annual Bluebonnet Trails and Festival.

The trails take you through fields, hills and valleys of bluebonnets as well as other Texas wildflower beauties.

The kid-friendly festival includes food, music, a petting zoo, a climbing wall, classic cars, and of course nature programs.
